Welcome to HOSHI: Keeping Children Safe, a non-profit Self Defence & Personal Safety organisation based in Rhydyfelin, Pontypridd.
We run Self Defence classes for Children & Parents, focusing on Physical Self Defence and Fitness as well as aspects of Personal Safety such as Bullying, Stranger Danger, Social Media Safety & First Aid.
Our mission is to give children the skills to keep them safe everywhere!
As well as being a Physical Activity provider for the Duke of Edinburgh award, we are the 1st Martial Arts organisation to teach at Wales Millennium Centre, exhibiting at the World of Women 2015 festival. We are registered with Companies House and the Charities Commission in England & Wales as a non-profit Community Interest Company (registration no: 10688529)
Hoshi Coaches are insured, DBS checked and first aid trained. They also do a wide range of child safety courses certified by organisations such as NSPCC, Kidscape, Action 4 Children & St Johns Ambulance. Our certifications include:

- Preventing Bullying (Anti Bullying Alliance course)
- Keeping Children Safe Online (NSPCC course)
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
- Safeguarding the welfare of Children & Young people
